7-week early ultrasound

We recommend an early pregnancy ultrasound at around 7 weeks of pregnancy. The examination is performed transvaginally to ensure the best possible visibility.

During the early pregnancy scan, we confirm the location of the pregnancy, the number of embryos and the fetal heartbeat, and assess the gestational age. During your appointment, you will also receive instructions on how and when to discontinue any supportive medication, if applicable.

You will receive a certificate of fertility treatment to provide to your antenatal care clinic. If you have the ultrasound performed elsewhere, we will send the certificate to you as agreed.
