Deciding which embryo to transfer is one of the biggest moments in your IVF journey. Embryo Predict gives your care team an objective assessment of each embryo, so the choice rests on more than the human eye alone.
At Ovumia, our laboratories are staffed by experienced specialists who carefully monitor embryo development throughout fertility treatment. Embryo Predict is an AI-assisted tool that provides our laboratory specialists with a new way to analyse embryo development and complements the information already available to them.
Embryo Predict monitors and analyses embryo development and provides additional information about the different stages of embryo development. It supports our embryologists by providing them with additional information about embryo development.
The information generated by AI complements the expertise of our laboratory team, but AI does not make decisions about embryos. The assessment and selection of embryos are always based on the expertise of our embryologists, the available information and an overall clinical assessment.
Embryo Predict provides our embryologists with additional information that can be used as part of the overall assessment of embryo development. The purpose of the technology is to support our specialists and help us make the most comprehensive use of the information available to us.
The final assessment and decisions regarding embryo selection are always made by Ovumia’s embryologists.
Our goal is to combine evolving technology with strong embryological expertise to support individualised and high-quality fertility care.
During your IVF treatment, we take images of the embryos that have developed to the blastocyst stage and have been assessed by the embryologist as suitable for transfer. This requires no additional procedures, appointments, or extra time added to your treatment.
The Embryo Predict AI software analyzes the images of your embryos and gives each embryo an AI score on a scale from 0 to 1, indicating its viability. This means that every embryo is assessed according to the same objective standard.
Your care team uses this information, together with their own clinical assessment, to help determine which embryo to transfer. Embryo Predict supports the decision-making process, but the final decision is made by your care team.
As a result, you receive a report on your embryos showing the classification and score for each individual embryo, along with any additional comments provided by the laboratory staff. The classification is used to determine the order in which the embryos are considered for transfer.
Every fertility journey is unique, and treatment outcomes depend on a range of individual medical and biological factors.
Our AI-assisted tools are designed to provide additional information, support our clinical teams and help you better understand your treatment. They cannot guarantee a successful pregnancy or improve treatment outcomes on their own.
Their role is to complement the expertise of our doctors and embryologists – not replace it.
No. At Ovumia, we believe that personalised fertility care starts with understanding you as an individual.
AI is used as an analytical and informational tool, providing additional data to support our clinical teams. Decisions about your treatment, medication and embryo selection are always made by our experienced doctors and embryologists, based on your individual circumstances and clinical needs.
Technology has always played an important role in advancing fertility treatment. At Ovumia, we use AI-assisted tools for one simple reason: to give our experts more information and our patients greater clarity.
Our approach to fertility care remains centred on clinical expertise, personalised treatment and the relationship between you and your care team.
AI can help us analyse more information, provide clearer updates and support greater transparency throughout your treatment journey.
Quite the opposite. We believe technology should enhance personalised care, not replace it.
By providing our clinical teams with additional information, AI-assisted tools can help us build an even more detailed understanding of your treatment journey.
For you, this means greater access to information and clearer communication, while your care continues to be guided by the people who know you, your treatment and your individual circumstances.
