Donor Treatments

When the dream of a child cannot be realised using your own gametes, donor treatments offer hope and a well established path towards pregnancy and parenthood.

At Ovumia, we have extensive experience in donor treatments – reflected in our excellent treatment outcomes. We support you in choosing the treatment option that best suits your individual situation.

At Ovumia’s clinics, the success rate of donor egg treatment exceeds 50% already during the first treatment cycle.

Why are donor treatments needed – and who are they for?

How donor treatments at Ovumia proceed?

Initial appointment (doctor consultation)

The first step is a consultation with a fertility doctor. During the appointment, the medical prerequisites for treatment, the treatment process and prognosis are reviewed. You are encouraged to ask questions and discuss your individual situation in detail. You may also attend the initial appointment simply to explore your options, without committing to treatment.

Midwife appointment and donor selection

After the counselling session, the recipient meets with a Midwife to discuss donor selection, the treatment pathway and scheduling. The Midwife will contact you once a suitable donor has been identified.

Treatment planning

Once a donor has been found, the doctor creates an individualised treatment plan. During this appointment, you will receive information about the required medication and treatment timeline. Our midwifes provide detailed instructions and guidance on medication use.

Treatment implementation

Following treatment planning, treatment can begin according to your personalised plan.

At Ovumia, you can access treatment quickly without losing valuable time waiting in queues. Ovumia’s own gamete bank provides a fast and secure route to parenthood. There are no waiting lists for egg, sperm or full donation treatments – treatment can often begin within approximately 2–4 months of the initial appointment. The duration of the process depends on your individual situation, desired donor characteristics and donor availability, as well as required examinations and the timing of counselling.
