At your first appointment, you—individually or together—will meet with one of our specialists to discuss your wishes, health, and medical history. Based on this, an individual treatment plan is created for you. No referral is required.
As these treatments are based on donated reproductive cells, a consultation with a psychologist or therapist is always included.
The conversation focuses on reassurance, support, and openness in connection with the use of donated sperm.
During insemination, donated sperm is placed into the uterus of the person who will carry the pregnancy. Fertilisation then takes place naturally in the fallopian tube.
IUI is often the first treatment option, as it is simple, gentle, and cost-effective.

For female couples and others who do not have fertility challenges other than the absence of sperm, success rates are often even higher.
Before starting treatment, we assess the fallopian tubes if needed and review how ovulation should be timed—either using home ovulation tests or ultrasound monitoring.
The cost consists of the sperm donation and the insemination procedure itself.
IVF is a more effective option when insemination is not recommended or when you prefer a more advanced form of treatment.

With double donation, both donated eggs and donated sperm are used. This is an option for individuals or couples who:
cannot use their own eggs
wish to undergo treatment without a genetic connection
have medical reasons for choosing donated reproductive cells
Before embryo transfer, the uterus is prepared with hormone treatment, and fertilisation takes place in the laboratory through IVF or ICSI.
Ovumia has its own egg bank and sperm bank, which helps minimise waiting times.

With embryo donation, frozen embryos are used that have been donated by couples who have already had the number of children they wish for and choose to help others.
Availability is limited, but when possible, embryo donation can be a valuable option—especially for individuals and couples who cannot use either their own eggs or their own sperm.
