Ovumia has been providing fertility care since 1993. We operate in Sweden, Finland, and Estonia, with a clear ambition to combine modern medicine, long-standing experience, and a warm, personal approach.
Our goal is simple: to give you safe and reassuring access to specialists who listen, support you, and create a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. Thanks to our treatments, more than 16,000 children have already been born.
In addition to fertility treatments, we also offer:
With us, you are welcome whether you are seeking care as a single person, as a couple, in a same-sex relationship, or with a partner who is not biologically involved in fertility treatment.
We always adapt each consultation and treatment plan to your life situation, your values, and your wishes.
Fertility treatments can be emotionally and physically demanding. With us, you are given time, support, and a calm, respectful approach where your questions are taken seriously.
We combine clinical expertise with a way of working shaped by care and transparency. Together, we create a plan that offers the best possible conditions for achieving pregnancy.
Our team consists of fertility specialists, embryologists, midwives, and nurses with extensive experience in fertility care. We continuously work to implement the latest research and technology to improve outcomes and the patient experience.
In Sweden, we offer fertility assessments and certain fertility treatments with public funding through our agreement with Region Stockholm.
This means the same patient fee as other specialist care: SEK 275 per visit, and the national healthcare card (frikort) applies.
Publicly funded care may be offered to:
The fertility assessment is carried out with us at Ovumia.
If treatment is medically indicated, a referral is sent to Karolinska University Hospital, which reviews and approves all medical documentation.
Once approved, the patient may choose to undergo treatment at one of the clinics contracted by the region—Ovumia’s clinic in Stockholm is one of them.
Up to three IVF treatments may be offered if medically indicated. Frozen embryo transfers are not counted as a separate treatment.
Do you have questions? You are warmly welcome to contact us, and we will be happy to help you move forward.
In Ovumia, we are always ready to help you!
Since its founding, Ovumia has been one of the Nordic clinics that early on introduced modern IVF techniques, advanced embryology, and treatments using donated reproductive cells within the private sector.
We continue to develop our services with a strong focus on quality, patient safety, and achieving the best possible treatment outcomes.
